Police Officers UFO Sighting in Devon UK 1967

It was October 1967 in Devon, England UK and two then policemen Roger Willey and Clifford Waycott were about to encounter not criminals but a UFO. The sighting they would both have would ultimately lead to a team of investigators from the MOD (Ministry of Defence) going to see both Roger and Clifford. The UFO seen that night in 1967 was described by Roger Willey as an “Unusual bright white light in the sky” Thirty years after the sighting the retired policeman still remembers the details of that night Roger stated.
"We were making our way back between Holsworthy and Hatherleigh when we saw this unusual bright white light in the sky.”We both registered that we'd seen something. It was something we couldn't logically account for. "It was something that I hadn't seen before; I haven't seen since; and something that nobody can explain exactly what it was."
They followed the UFO and then returned back to the station.

Clifford Roger
Clifford also recalls what happened that night he stated - "It wasn't a star. It was bright - it was white. If you look at glass which has got rain on, it was the same sort of inference. It was a splash. It was just too...eerie."
Clifford said that they reported to the BBC but the power within “hushed up” and covered-up the incident and wanted to keep it on the low.
Clifford also stated - "We were visited by a boffin from the MoD who told us that we were still officers under the Official Secrets Acts and they would rather we kept it to ourselves."
The two witnesses were told by the MOD to basically keep quiet and that the event never happened.
Webmasters note – I have contacted the MOD requesting information they must have on this sighting. I have requested it using the Freedom of Information act and if I gain the files I will add the details of the files here.
