The Hudson Valley Sightings

Hudson Valley is a collection of many UFO Sightings which are all similar and point to one same conclusion. There was something strange going on an hours drive away from New York City. The Hudson Valley incident began at nearly the beginning of 1982 it was just a short time before midnight on December 31st 1981 and a retired policeman was sitting in his backyard in Kent NY when he saw a group of strange of lights to the south which were a brilliant red, green and also white At first he thought they could be coming from a airplane in trouble it was very common for him to sit and watch the big jets fly over at night and as the lights became closer his opinion quickly changed. The lights were moving way to slow to be a plane and now they were too low and there was no noise of an engine. He had no idea what the strange craft he was seeing was. As the lights slowly came closer he could hear a humming sound and now he could see that the lights were arranged in a triangle shape and there was a solid object of some kind connecting all of the lights. He was certain it was no aircraft. The solid part looked like a fuselage e was looking at a UFO this type of report would be repeated by many of witnesses in the Hudson Valley over the next few years and all of which would be very similar to one another a V-shaped row of lights all connected by a solid object of some sort and literally hundreds would witness this odd craft.
On March 26th 1983 an article about the sightings appeared on the front page of the Westchester-Rockland Daily item the article related to many of the other reports of the strange. The press coverage drew the attention of a group of UFO investigators who were associated with Dr. J Allen Hynek acclaimed scientist and UFO investigator. A through investigation followed and ultimately a book entitled “The Hudson Valley UFO Sightings.” The group began their question seeking by setting up a phone hotline to which they received over 300 calls from individuals who had seen the strange V-shaped lights on the night of March 24th 1982. All the descriptions were very similar to one another. On that very strange night the city of Yorktown also came alive with reports of the large craft. The police were inundated with many calls about the UFO and they feared not being able to respond to “real emergencies.” Drivers in Taconic parkway pulled over to watch the large object slowly make its way across the sky. 5,000 reports of this strange V-shaped craft were collected in a five year period from 1982 through 1986. The object was seen by multiple witnesses at night but never during the day. The sightings ranged from far to the east as New Haven Connecticut and as far north as Brookfield Connecticut. Other strange details would emerge every now and again about the object including it being able to move rapidly at times and even change the colours of light it displayed.
One of the most amazing things to come out of the Hudson Valley is a photograph of the strange UFO this photograph was taken by a law enforcement officer near Waterbuty CT on May 26th 1987 at around 9:30pm on the I-84 road and this object is yet to be explained by anyone.
These sightings are still unexplained and only quite silly theories have been put forward such as the craft being a balloon and even a blimp which considering the evidence put forward by the 5,000 plus witnesses it quite impossible.
The Hudson Valley sightings are to this day still a mystery and may never be explained.
