The Apollo 11 UFO Incident

On July 20th 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin along with everyone living on Earth made history. As Neil Armstrong placed his feet on the Lunar surface he said “One small step for man one giant leap for mankind” those words would never be forgotten even though it was 30 plus years ago. But before Armstrong and Aldrin would set foot on the Moon they would have a very strange encounter with a UFO.
Three days into the Apollo mission and 200,000 miles from home Mission Control missed a very important message from Apollo 11 unknown to Mission Control Apollo 11 sent the following message to mission control back on earth – “Do you have any idea where the S-IVB is with respect to us? Mission Control told Apollo 11 to stand by but after that control was silent. The reason for the message was that Apollo 11 was not along in the darkness and vastness of space they had the unexpected company of an Unidentified Flying Object floating along beside them. Buzz Aldrin stated – “Mike (Collins) decided he thought he could see it in the telescope and he was able to do that and when it was in one position, that had a series of ellipses, but when you made it real sharp it was sort of L shaped. That didn't tell us very much”. The Senior Apollo 11 scientist said the following – “NASA knew very little about, um, the object reported by the Apollo 11 crew. It was obviously an unidentified flying object, but such objects were not uncommon and the history of even earth orbit space flights going back over the previous years indicated that several crews saw object”. Despite the presence of the Unknown object the crew of Apollo 11 hesitated on reporting the strange occurrence to Mission Control Buzz Aldrin made the reason for this clear – “Now, obviously, the three of us were not going to blurt out, 'Hey Houston we got something moving along side of us and we don't know what it is, you know, can you tell us what it is?'. We weren't about to do that, cause we know that those transmissions would be heard by all sorts of people and who knows what somebody would have demanded that we turn back because of Aliens or whatever the reason is, so we didn't do that but we did decide we'd just cautiously ask Houston where, how far away was the S-IVB?”. No knowing about the strange object that Aldrin and Armstrong were seeing Mission Control radioed back the position of S-IVB Mission Control told them that the S-IVB was 6,000 Nautical miles away from Apollo 11. Aldrin stated the following – “And a few moments later, why they came back and said something like it was 6,000 miles away because of the manoeuvre, so we really didn't think we were looking at something that far away, so we decided that after a while of watching it, it was time to go to sleep and not to talk about it anymore until we came back and (went through) debriefing”.

To this day the mystery that Apollo 11 witnessed remains unexplained did the Apollo 11 mission have alien contact?
